Stylitics is a consumer insights company that is unlocking a new stream of data on what people are wearing and buying, in real-time. Our consumer-facing site (http://www.stylitics.com.) and apps let users “check in” what they wore in to see a personal outfit history, trends reports, rewards/badges, and recommendations. Our client-side analytics dashboard helps the world’s leading brands and retailers make smarter business decisions using live data on consumer preferences.

We are an emerging company with a small but cohesive development team, based in NYC. We are funded by leading investors in the fashion and analytics space, have active users, and major brands as clients.  We've been featured on the homepage of Inc. What we are looking for:

• An experienced programmer (3+ years Ruby required, other languages and experience valued) who loves to code and has led technical teams for at least 4 years.
• A start-up technologist, who understands how to operate efficiently
• Experience in building scalable architecture – ideally has been through the “hockey stick”
• Experience in debugging and optimizing code for application performance
• Active contributor to the open source community
• Experience with Agile
• Based full-time in the NY area

Responsibilities include:

• Leading planning and execution on the product roadmap
• Overall management and leadership of the technical team.
• Actively contributing to code and mentoring other engineers
• Communicating with the non-technical team.
• Optimizing feature rollouts on tight deadlines.
• Being the technical “face” of Stylitics – with the community, clients, and investors.
